WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES: My original influences were Eddie Vedder and Ed Kowalczyk. Rob Thomas is my hometown hero and all time favorite. I have always been drawn to bands that have an entertaining and energetic lead singer.
WHEN DID YOU START PLAYING MUSIC: I started guitar lessons in 4th grade and still play to this day. Somewhere in early High School, I realized I was a MUCH better singer than guitar player!
WHERE ARE YOU FROM: I was born in Ft. Myers, FL. I now refer to Orlando as my true home.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BANDS: Matchbox 20, Maroon 5, BuckCherry, Foreigner, Jason Mraz, Kings of Leon, Panic! at the Disco, Smile Empty Soul, Fuel, Rehab, The Academy is..., and Gavin DeGraw keep seeming to come up frequently on my playlist
WHAT ARE OTHER HOBBIES: Martial Arts, Jiu-Jitsu, Golf, Classic Cars, Graphic Arts and the Miami Dolphins.
WHY DID YOU START PLAYING MUSIC: As cliche as it sounds, I did it to impress the girls.
DESCRIBE YOUR FIRST TIME ON STAGE: Technically in 5th grade at a “Christmas Recital” playing guitar, but my first real performance was my 9th grade talent show with a band called “Noyze.” I think I instantly grew up that day. The word "shy" was no longer a part of my vocabulary after that experience. I am so lucky to have performed at nearly every phase of my life so far!
WHAT ARE YOUR MUSICAL GOALS: I've reached SO many goals that I have to keep making up new ones. My current goal is to begin to introduce some more original music in our shows and complete my 4th album.
WHAT MUSICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS HAVE YOU HAD SO FAR: I feel like I'm still living that dream that I had as a young child. I've literally accomplished SO many goals in music that I feel overwhelmingly lucky and blessed. From opening up for national acts to playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, to the incredible venues I've performed in, to the incredible friends I have met through this experience....each experience holds a special memory for me.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING ON STAGE: I love PERFORMING!!! I enjoy watching the smiles of the crowd, earning the respect of fellow musicians and the release of raw energy. I always take a second to "soak in" the fact that I'm on stage with my best friends in the world. Somehow we get to share the spotlight, break a few rules and live the musical dream together under our conditions.
WHAT ARE YOUR LONG TERM MUSICAL GOALS: My long term goal is to continue writing original music for other artists, sit-coms, commercials and movies
WHAT TOWN DO YOU MOST ENJOY PLAYING IN: Each town has it's own distinct flavor. If I had to pick one, I'd have to say Jacksonville. There is just something extra special about the people we've met there. I truly love ALL of my fans....but Jacksonville always cheers the loudest!!!
WHAT IS SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MUSICAL GEAR: I refuse to sing on a wired mic. I feel like a caged animal without my Shure Beta 87. I also have a special place in my heart for my '67 Gibson Flying V.
WHAT IS SOME ADVICE TO A BEGINNER MUSICIAN: Enjoy every phase of the way. As much fun as you'll have, don't forget to put in the hard work. Additionally, make sure you have the right team. Life is too short to settle for second best.
